Supõe-se que Spaceport 2006 foi uma série sci-fi britânica rodada em 1976 e concebida por um cineasta sem talento querendo se valer da crescente popularidade do gênero.

Kitsch e de efeitos precários, a série teria sua continuidade cancelada após poucos episódios, passando décadas no esquecimento. No século XXI, um grupo de entusiastas descobriram novamente a série que ganharia status de cult graças à divulgação via internet, tornando-se, posteriormente, um ícone do gênero.

SpacePort é a fonte empregada empregada em todo este suposto projeto visual da série. Um deleite para os amantes de sci-fi de baixo orçamento.
