Description

The look of language altered dramatically around the year 1800, profoundly transforming the experience of reading. The long-s character was abandoned, spelling became standardized, and tech innovation produced a new clarity of typography. This typeface addresses that great disruption, straddling the divide and transporting the reader back to before that time, with three unique features— 1: Alternate glyphs that create a random “analog” effect mimicking antique letterpress printing of body text (professional fonts), 2: Default long‑s, coded according to the conventions of the 17th and early 18th centuries (Spell fonts), and, most remarkably, 3: Writing of text in a “Mock Tudor” manner (Spell fonts). Note that these features may be selectively applied.
