The sample shown is horrible and old, please ignore it...
Chunky, eye-catching, rectangular, like cut from black paper, very legible. Quirky variations and wonderful steps on some angled lines add excitement and movement. The Japanese has great personality here. Well done! A successful First Fontstruction.
Update: Smoothed out the entire font!
